Meet Ari

Founder & Lead Therapist

Ari Liakeas | MGHT, FHT & RYT 200

Ari's journey to founding Stellar Therapies is one of courage, curiosity, and profound transformation.

A former costume designer, Ari spent many years immersed in the creative world of UK theatre until burnout brought her to a crossroads. Knowing she needed a change, she stepped away, travelled, and began rediscovering herself through Arabic belly dancing, yoga, and the healing art of massage. What began as a deeply personal journey of recovery quietly became her calling.

Movement has been a thread woven through Ari's entire life, a passion first kindled by her mother.

Over the years, she explored many cultural forms of dance and yoga, but it was Arabic dance that truly resonated with her soul. In its music and movements, she found something deeply nourishing: a feeling of being inspired, uplifted, and wholly empowered. Through this practice, she discovered the profound connections between Arabic dance and the feminine, goddess aspect of life and how movement of this kind can bring real and lasting healing to women on physical, emotional, and spiritual levels.

Both massage and movement have been Ari's own transformative path, helping her process and release trauma held deeply within the body and soul. She retrained in a wide range of massage therapy modalities and, since 2016, has been working professionally as a bodywork therapist across clinics, spas, athletic events, charitable organisations, and corporate environments. Since 2019, she has also completed hundreds of hours of Yoga Teacher Training in Hatha, Yin, and Restorative Yoga, continuing to expand her studies so she can share these life-changing practices with others through community classes.

In 2018, her work took her worldwide, and in 2020, she founded Stellar Therapies, a space to bring together her expertise in bodywork, dance, and yoga, and share it with the world. Today, Stellar Therapies runs studios in southern Albania and Scotland, with retreats held worldwide.

Ari continues to deepen her skills alongside an incredible community of fellow practitioners, all driven by the same purpose: to facilitate genuine healing and support each client's journey to optimum health and well-being. At the heart of everything she does is a deep belief in the power of community creating inclusive, joyful spaces where people feel safe to show up exactly as they are, reconnect with themselves, and experience healing on every level.
